Abstract

Visual-sharing technology that shares the viewpoint of others is foundational to many applications. For instance, complex industrial skill transfer can use this technology for novice understanding. However, sharing the viewpoint of others can lead to severe motion sickness.Although many researchers have proposed numerous solutions to address VR sickness, there are few solutions specifically for visual-sharing experiences. This study aims to utilize the motion data from those who observe the scene by other’s perspective to offset the motion of the controller which makes the visual of those who share the perspective different from their motion. The discrepancy between the body’s motions and the visual can be reduced by this method when participants experience the visual-sharing system. Apart from that, this paper will narrate the outline of theexperimentation for the VR sickness mitigation method.
