There is a need to increase young people’s interest in mechanical and electrical engineering. Focusing on the lack of teaching materials and human support, which are problems in programming education at elementary schools, this study aimed to propose robot programming workshop materials for beginner elementary and to evaluate its effectiveness by university student instructors. 18 elementary school-age children participated in the proposed workshop, and the evaluation through questionnaires suggested that these materials could promote children’s interest and understanding, though the cost could be a concern.
