Abstract

This study used the Trajectory Equifinality Approach (TEA) to elucidate the interaction between social factors and the career decision-making process of female Ph.D. researchers who chose to pursue their careers in the field of mechanical and electronic communication engineering. As a result, it was found that opportunities to foster interest in the field without gender bias and environments conducive to women continuing their research had an impact on their choice.
