Abstract


In order to tackle to energy and environmental issues, education is one effective approach in terms of giving awareness and comprehensive knowledge (including trilemma) for 3E issues (Energy Security, Environmental Preservation and Sustainable Economic Growth). Meanwhile, two courses to foster multi-direction thinking and deep understand are arranged for students of Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University. It would be, however, difficult to deep understand about those issues with complex background by only passively taking lectures. Therefore, a web-based debate support system has been developed and introduced to lecture course for effective education. As the result of the introduction, it was found that this system was effective, and the students were satisfied with the system. It was also found that the first argument input until the day before discussion was effective, but the keyword input during argument was troublesome.
