Abstract

A graphical tool called MFMS (Multilevel Flow Modeling Studio) was developed in order to help goals and means analysis of various process system in terms of Multilevel Flow Model(MFM) of mass, energy, and information in the whole process system. MFM is a comprehensive method for system analysts to understand the semiology of various process systems, and it has been traditionally used for alarm handling¡¤ fault diagnosis and procedure generation of various process plants. In this paper, the MFM is newly applied for the waste recycle system for the purpose of planning and evaluation of the complex metropolitan environmental issues from versatile aspects.
