Abstract

Abstract: This paper proposed a universal graphical interface tool, Multilevel Flow Models Studio (MFMS), for Multilevel Flow Models (MFM) based modeling and application development. Some new symbols of MFM, connector relation, compose relation and sub-MFM-model function, are introduced for MFM modeling. A XML based structure is adopted for manipulating the MFM model. An editor is developed for modeling various process systems and an executor can implement relevant application for monitoring, diagnosis, alarm analysis and operational instruction in terms of the established MFM models. A prototype MFMS system has been developed and applied to establish a demo operation support system for a co-generation system, Micro Gas Turbine System. Copyright © 2004 IFAC
