Abstract

Productivity of office workers is said to be influenced by environmental conditions of office such as temperature, humidity ,noise, air flow, bright, etc. But, it is very difficult to reduce objective relationship between the productivity and various environmental condition as useful indices for productivity. In this study, aiming at exploiting a new frame work to set up a basic laboratory experiment has been conducted to objective the effect of office conditions (temperature change, and bright condition) to the subjects performance for various elementary tasks. The employed tasks are language translation, calculation and short-term memory task. During the experiment, various physiological indices were measured such as ECG, eye blink, temperatures of face and other parts of body, body motion, CFF, etc. Those experimental data have been analyzed from the versatile aspects in order to bind any meaningful correlation ship among task performance, physiological indices and subjective rating.
