The new appearance of China and India as natural gas importers will have a great impact on Japan, which relies heavily on natural gas supply from Asian Pacific countries.Emphasizing the natural gas issues which Japan is now confronting, this paper aims to clarify the direction which Japan should take in natural gas supply.
