Recently, kansei expert systems have been developed, which deal with human kansei by computers. As one of the applications, interior design system has been studied and developed to support the process of interior designing. In case that a human designer designs room interior, he repeats to creates and proposes design ideas and some variations according to the user¡Çs desire and preference, and completes the final design through the interaction with the user. In this study, a virtual designer is constructed on the computer, and he can create and propose various kinds of design ideas by changing his ¡Çcharacter¡Ç. By using the virtual designer, subject experiments were conducted to examine the satisfaction of the created design and their interaction processes.
