Abstract


Recently, it is revealed that many unsafe incidents happened in nuclear power plants would have been prevented if organizations had learned any lesson from previous unsafe incidents. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose the new strategy to facilitate the organization¡Çs learning in the nuclear industry. Especially in this paper, the new method to foster each member¡Çs learning activity is proposed. Authors focused on ¡Èthe attachment to the database of previous unsafe incidents¡É in order to develop the new method. ¡ÈThe attachment to the database¡É is considered to motivate the members of the organization to review the database which prompts to get any lessens from previous unsafe incidents. Therefore, authors proposed the new method to foster members¡Ç attachment to the database. Subject experiment was conducted for evaluating the effect of proposed method. As a result, the effectiveness of proposed method was shown by qualitative analysis, and moreover the process model of fostering their attachment of the database in using proposed method and the guideline for effective use of proposed method were proposed based on the result of qualitative analysis of the experiment.
