Abstract

An objective method for measuring office productivity has been proposed. First, office productivity and related matters have been defined. A field survey in a business office has been conducted and the constituent elements and weight of essential abilities for office work have been derived for each occupation. A task performance test system to evaluate office productivity, CPTOP, was then developed. Furthermore, an experimental evaluation of the implementation of CPTOP has been carried out and the appropriateness for standard tests has been checked. Finally, another experiment has confirmed that CPTOP reflects changes in the indoor environment.
